Parents

What can you expect as a parent of a WILDD client?
instructor with clientWe pride ourselves here at WILDD in our personalized approach to every client. Your child will receive one-on-one instruction, in most cases, and will be following a program of instruction that is tailor-made to fit their needs. We like to keep parents constantly in the loop, because your involvement in your child’s learning is critical! A few tips for parents of children with learning disabilities and/or dyslexia:

Read at home – Reading to your child, or having your child read to you, just a few times a week can improve their reading and comprehension levels.  This is especially important during the summer months when your child is out of school.

Talk about it – Learning disabilities and dyslexia are a challenge that your child needs to learn how to overcome.  Talking to him or her about these daily challenges will can make them more open and accepting of their current frustrations, and they will start to share their triumphs with you as well!
